The Taj Mahal

There are 7 wonders in world. The Taj Mahal is one of them. The Taj mahal is located in Agra, south coast of river Yamuna (যমুনা), Uttar Pradesh. It took 21 years and thousands of artisans and craftsmen to complete the Taj Mahal. The Taj has an area of about 1003agres or 405 hectares. It is the finest example of Mughal architecture.It combines the art of Persia, Turky and India. Finally Shah Jahan made his dream complete in 1648. The Taj is made of white marble. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built this Taj  Mahal in the memory of his lovely wife Mumtaj Mahal who died at an early age. He built the burial of his wife in this Taj Mahal. It has very good location there are gardens and fountains too which also give a beautiful effect to the view. It is now a heritage site of India. The entire monument has a fine layout each fitting to the overall majestic setup. Taj from the river bank also looks very beautiful and in full moon light the white Taj and Yamuna look amazing. A series of enchanting water fountains in the middle of the paved footpath make the entry to the main mausoleum outstanding. The Taj Mahal has been regarded as “A dream in marble, designed by fairies and finished by jewelers”. The reflection of the whole structure in the still waters of the Yamuna, on a moonlit night is said to be an unforgettable sight unseen anywhere else in the world. The wonderful Taj Mahal indicates India’s glorious past. It is the best legacy left behind by the Great Mughals who once ruled India. Thousands of visitors from India and outer countries visit this place every year.
